Seven Key Points When Choosing
The Best Face Cream

Best Moisturizer for Dry Skin  Oily Skin Solutions

While cleansers and toners are the foundation for good skin care, cream and moisturizers are the building blocks that protect, nourish and help diminish the signs of aging.

1 - Know your skin type

They are 3 basic skin type (normal, dry, oily) and a variety of skin combination. It can get really complex.

Moisturizers are food for the skin and help the cells rejuvenate and repair the skin. Vitamins, essential minerals and essential fatty acids keep our body and skin healthy. A proper diet will nourish your skin form the inside out while a good moisturizer and skin care will nourish your skin form the outside in. Choose your moisturizer the same way you choose your food - Carefully with only fresh, natural ingredients as close to Nature as possible.

2- Keep Your Skin Ph Balanced

Research is showing that most skin problems are due to an imbalanced PH and lack of essential minerals.

  • Dry skin have a hard time to retain moisture and feel tight and/or itchy. Plant like Camomile, Calendula or Aloe Vera soothe and calm the skin. Essential mineral like Potassium keep the cells environment neutral and regulate the moisturizing process.
  • Oily skin produce to much oil. The sebaceous glands are hyperactive and need to be slowed down. Plant like Aloe Vera, Lavender are natural antiseptic and reduce the inflammation caused by rashes and acne. Essential minerals like sulphur or bromine have antibacterial and antiseptic properties and keep the PH in check.

With all skin condition to obtain result, you need to bring the PH in balance and provide the skin with the lacking essential minerals. While plants extracts soothe, calm and heal the skin cells.

3 - Read Labels

You are looking for: Paraben free - Made with whole natural ingredients - Non tested on Animals and Dermatologist approved.

Then look at the ingredients. Keep in mind that ingredients are listed in descending order. You want the key ingredients to be as close as possible from the top of the list.

4 -Hypo allergenic

Hypoallergenic products are less likely to provoke an allergenic reaction and are safer to use especially if your skin is sensitive

5 - Alcohol free

Avoid alcohol in the content of creams and cleansers. It irritates dry and oily skin alike. Even if your skin is oily with a tendency to acne, alcohol will not help at all but on the contrary will make things worst.

6 - It has to feel good when you applied

This is really important. Your moisturizer has to be absorbed fairly quickly with no sticky or oily feeling. Your skin is going to wear it for 8 to 12 hours. It has to feel good when  applied and then you should be able to forget about it.

7 - UV protection

Most moisturizers today have UV protection. Unless you are willing to wear sun screen under your moisturizer or foundation, always look for multi tasking options.
